5 Most Important Reasons

  • Rome had a lot of people in the army and a lot of money was spented.
  • Rome had made slaves of thousand people captured during the war.
  • Caesar started colonies where the land less could own.
  • Trade would be easier because of some coinage.
  • Rome was rich so they can spent money.
2 Paragraph Why the republic in rome failed

In rome the republic failed to achieve or to better. One reason why they failed was that they many people on the army and when that happen they used a bunch of money that could bring the economy or the wealth of rome. Second reason was that many slaves where captured and most of them could of been workers in rome, not just be people doing stuff for other people and not earn money. Third reason was that Julius ceasar started colonies and would take up land that could of been other people land or property. Fourth reason was that trade was easier because of the coinage and that could of brought it down even the democracy. Fifth reason was that rome was rich but they spent a lot of money and could of did bad to rome when they needed something when they didn't have money to afford it.

They also it fell was the use of violence by the Roman elite. Marius , Sulla, Pompey and Gaius Julius Caesar had in effect with the private armies that looked to them for retirement packages and to defend their interests. The growth in both territory and wealth and the dislocations that this caused. Republic came to and end when one Republican statesman became in effect a monarch, Octavian, later to become the first Roman Emperor Augustus.

-Julius Caesar - emerged to bring order to Rome.

-Triumvirate - a group of three rulers.

-Absolute Ruler - some one who has total power.

-Augustus - the title that Octavian was given and it could also mean “exalted one.

                2)
Its population numbered between 60 and 80 million people. About 1 million people lived in the city of Rome itself. Agriculture was the most important industry in the empire.Almost 90% of the people were farmers. A silver coin named Adenarius was in used the empire. Rome had a network for trading.
Agriculture was very important in the empire. Most Romans survived on the produce from their local area.a silver coin called a denarius was in use throughout the empire. Having common coinage made trade between different parts of the empire much easier. Something i consider negative is that the rich would get more things than the poor.
                3)
The role that Julius Caesar played in the decline of the republic and the rise of the empire is that he emerged to bring order to Rome and dominated Rome as a triumirate.

The thing that interests me about Rome is how Caesar came to power and his death.

Brief Summary: The article called "Signaling Tensions, Pakistan Shuts NATO Supply Route" is about Pakistan closing the supply route. That route was suppose to let trucks that is supplying american and NATO forces in afghanistan. There was a helicopter that strike the fourth time this week in the side of the pakistan border. The border closing, and the exceptional strikes by the aircraft, as opposed  a general rise in tensions between Pakistan and the United States. Also, the C.I.A pulled out records of number drone attacks inside pakistan in this month. The border that was closing was a clear demonstration of the leverage Pakistan holds over the American war effort. The Pakistan government said that the cross-border strikes were more that it could bear. Also without Protests. He also said "We will have to see weather we are allies or enemies" said the Pakistani interior minister, Rehman Malik.
Chosen this article than another: I chosen this article than another because it was kind of interesting about what happen within pakistan and united states already. How we send forces to pakistan. But we cant do that anymore because pakistan closed the border from united states and Pakistan. Also i want to write about what we were mostly talking about in class and not something random such as a new car came out. Thats why i chosen this one than other articles that was in the new york times website.
Connection Article to the Unit:  I chosen this article about pakistan because its relating of what we are talking my my global class. The topic we are actually studying is about the early civilization, china, iraq, mesopotamia, and etc. But Mr.Giambalvo said i could atleast write about Pakistan ,So i did.  That is the connection i have with the article and to the unit we are studying right now.

Title: US jails Pakistani scientist for 86 years
                Author: Doesn't say no author
                Date of Article:
                 Website that found article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/
                Link to the article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-11401865
Belief about the topic: The Topic "US Jails Pakistani scientist for 86 years" is mostly about a person that came from Pakistan,Iraq or in Afghanistan, Iraq.  And they caught her because she attempted to kill US military personnel and was sent to prison for about 86 years.
Brief Summary: The title "US Jails Pakistani scientist for 86 years" is about a woman named Siddiqui that came from Pakistan and was making dirty bombs and she had a list of New York Landmarks. And she had a rifle and shot up and said "deaths to Americans" . The protest broke across Pakistan after the line she announced. She wanted to murder the Americans that was serving in Afghanistan and also as their afghan colleagues. She was also carrying sodium cyanide, a toxic substance. And the lawyers she had was saying she was mentally ill. She studied at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the US. The she married a relative of accused of 9/11 the mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. After what she said to the people in Pakistan, they went forward and if they didn't let go Siddiqui. They would march on the US consulate and attack. That's why they are arresting Siddiqui for 86 years in prison.
Chosen this Article than Another: I had chosen this article than another article because it was talking about somewhere in Iraq and when i read the article. It was kind of interesting of what a Afghanistan or Pakistan person named Siddiqui wanted to do in America. But also was kind of scary. Just a bit because what would of happen if they didn't catch her and she went on and attacked the United States. That could of caused another war with the Iraq people and also could of made another Iraq attack on the US as 9/11 was.
Connection Article to Unit: There are a connection to the unit we are studying now because in class we are talking about Iraq. Most of it is somewhat about Iraq. This could also involve in the United States  community and economy. Because we wont be having people dead as it was in 9/11. And United states saved a lot of money that would of used if Siddiqui dropped the dirty bombs in the Landmarks she chosen in New York City. So it helped a lot to the united states for capturing the victim that could of destroyed New York City Again.

Title: 3 Teams Win Automotive X Prize
                 Author: Ronald Ahrens
                 Date of Article: September 16,2010
                 Website that found Article: http://www.nytimes.com/
                 Link to The Article: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/16/automobiles/16WINNERS.html?_r=1&ref=technology
Belief about the Topic: The article that i chosen was about technology. I found it under technology. Its about trying to advance the technology for more fuel-efficient vehicles. There racing in a competition and each vehicle is require to get 100 miles per gallon. The top winner had won it with a internal combustion engine. I possibly think that its location is in United States and Other countries came from outside and enter to the competition.
Brief Summary:This Article is about making cars to save energy for our world to be a greener place. The Vehicles achieve 100 miles per gallon or the energy equivalent.  It Reached that goal with electric power plants and the top winner was an internal combustion engine. And the main goal of Automotive X Prize is making an development of super-efficient cars that can be manufactured in large volume. That wasn't an easy competition because creating a car the is fuel efficient and super efficient to make the world greener is a pretty hard/tough job. There were about 136 vehicles that were after the competition and only 41 received approval last October.  The Competition was broken up to 2 Classes. One of the class was Mainstream that was for four-seat vehicles. And the Second one was Alternative that was two divisions: two-seats side-by-side and two seats in a tandem. The super-efficient car went into the Mainstream Class. When these cars get approve and made into real life cars it could save us money and energy. All that means sooner or later the world will be a more greener place.
Chosen this Article than Another: I chosen this article because i really like things that involved good looking cars and also i like the technology that involves with cars or in the world. And other articles will just talk about random stuff like a topic i really think its worthless to write about in the newspaper or in  the website. I kind of like to know what happens in our country the United States and also the in the world. But i really deeply get into technology and whats new of technology in the world.  Thats why i have chosen this one than another article in the new york times website.
Connection to Current Units: I positively think that this article is not or even near of what we are talking during class because we talk what happen in the past not the new things that came up to the world like technology.
